Khon Kaen Lawyer - English Speaking preferred

An elderly friend of mine is married to a Thai lady (officially), and they live near Khon Kaen. He is not good with PCs, so I am asking on his behalf.

Can anyone recommend an OK Lawyer in the Khon Kaen area, with the minimum of a basic understanding of English - no one in his wife's family knows an English speaking Lawyer.

He is looking to make a Will in Thailand that leaves all his assets in Thailand to his wife. He has made a Will back home that leaves all his assets there to his kids and his wife - equal shares to each.  There is not a huge amount of assets in Thailand - bank account and car etc.  Like me, he keeps the majority of his assets back home.

The Will in Thailand will need to be in both English and Thai. I have already done this myself, but the Lawyer I know is in Chiang Mai. Being an 'older school' guy, he wants to sit down with the Lawyer face to face, to explain exactly what he wants done.

Once completed he wishes to lodge it with the local Amphur Office - where they own a house (that is his Thai wife does) - so that when he passes on it will be easy for her to handle things locally.

Any additional tips/advice would also be appreciated.

Tell your friend to go to the Amphur, they will do the will for him leaving everything to his Thai wife.

I did this everything legal, no need for lawyers, as he will probably find it difficult to find an honest 1.

It will only be in Thai.

He won’t get an English version and I doubt it will cross reference the English Will.

Note for OP...... I hope his English Will was executed after his Thai marriage - otherwise it will be invalid and the Thai wife will inherit everything in the UK. The rules of intestacy will apply.
