Lawnmower repair

Featured Replies

We're not on Samui so no direct recommendation, but you must have a local "Bearings, Pulleys, Sprockets and Cogs" shop, take a failed bearing with you. Should be an easy DIY fix.

You know, this sort of place:-

"I don't want to know why you can't. I want to know how you can!"

Good advice Crossy, look for your local bearing shop.

Take wheels off your mower find a bearing shop, give them the wheels ,they will change the bearings for you, job done.

I am always having problems with the small front wheels on my wheelchairs, change wheelchair off with the wheels, wife takes them to a local shop 5 minutes new bearings, 70 baht each... easy.

It's more likely that you'll find replacement wheels rather than replacement bearings and the price won't be that different, the wheels on most lawnmowers here are not designed to have the bearings changed. Where I live there's a local store that sells everything related to almost every type of lawnmower imaginable, his shop is an unorganised chaos of spare parts yet the owner knows where everything is - you will almost certainly be able to find similar.

All great advice and thank you, but does anyone know if there is a bearing shop on Samui?

Try to ask where you bought the lawn mover, they may likely know. Otherwise HomePro in Tesco-Lotus mall in Bo Phut (Chaweng) will probably be able to recommend a repair shop or sparepart supply for lawn movers, and they don't ask if you originally bought the machine there...

Thank you khunPer, will give homepro a look, I actually bought the mower from them so that might help.
