'Spirit medium' woman murdered in Suphan Buri

A woman who claimed to be a medium for spirits was found murdered in Suphan Buri province on Wednesday evening.

 

Police were alerted to the death of Surin Sodsri, 67, who was found with a slit throat at an abandoned monastic centre near her house in Tambon Plapplachai, Uthong district, at 5pm.

 

The woman used to be consulted by local villagers as a soothsayer and spirit medium.

 

Her brother, Juan Sodsri, 61, said he was taken to the scene of the murder by Surin’s deaf son, who had found the body.

 

Police will summon Surin’s ex-husband for questioning.

Well, who could have predicted that?

I would like to know the murder statistic,s for Thailand, i remember reading somewhere it was 14,000 a year ,that seems a bit to high,i will google it i guess.

If one would round up all Thais believing in mumbo jumbo and put them in 'education camps' , the rest of the population could enjoy traffic jam free rides cross country in only one double-decker bus with a window seat.

Most are suicide so you will never know
