Hi, good day to everyone.

There is a small parking area right infront of the mukdahan border immigration office where there is nearby building for the Thais who will submit their Thai ID card to enter LAOS. May i know can we park our car there overnight? I heard they have ban car parking there overnight.

And can Thais still enter LAOS using ID card only? Usually i know thais who using ID card to enter LAOS have to wait for office open 8am and get the approved documents. Is the rountine still the same?

Lastly, is the Thai consulate regualtion still the same? Submit visa application in morning, collect afternoon on next day? How about the document for application?

Thai's have to apply for a border pass to enter Laos if they do not have a passport. A ID card is not enough.

Apply by 11 am of one day and pick up the next afternoon.

What type of visa are you applying for?

The car park right next to the building you talk about is daytime parking only. You need to park in the covered area licated just before.

You will need your marriage certificate plus a copy, copies of your wife's house book registry and ID card signed by her. Copy of passport photo page. Completed application form with 2 photos attached.

 

You can park in the overnight covered place on the left just before the border, 250bht per night..Pay and keep your receipt because they want it on your return...
