Sad and tragic if it was a genuine accident. On the other hand, it mudt be investigated if he was murdered by Thai tour guides as they have always been against such foreign guides.

It's not clear if he was foreign or Thai ??

He could have been a Thai guide for Chinese or he could have been a Chinese guide for Chinese or he could have been a Chinese guide for Thais !!!

The wording is a bit ambiguous...

Murdered by having his motorbike driven into a lamppost?

That's the impression given by certain protesting tour guides, and that's what makes the media, but in reality most Thai guides are very happy as they work with the Chinese guides and have more work than they've ever had as a result of the influx of Chinese tourists.

I therefore think your speculation is doubtful.

Just another careless, impaired motorbike rider who discovered that concrete posts planted next to roads in Thailand are not forgiving to the human body.

Chalong Police received a report about a motorcycle crash last night (April 28) on the road behind Klong Kata Dam that killed a man whom the police are yet to positively identify.

Ruamjai Rescue Foundation and Chalong Police believe that the 35-45 year old man might be a Chinese language tour guide as they found information in his mobile phone was in Chinese.

He was found in a field on the roadside wearing a white T-shirt and trousers. He had a wound on his neck and bruises on his body. About 5 metres away from his body, they found a motorcycle and a black helmet.
