Three eighteen year olds were shot at by a masked gunman as they rode their motorcycles home in Phitsanulok last night.

The 191 police received a call about the shooting around midnight and along with foundation medics tried to save the life of Wittawat Lamoon, 18, using CPR. But after 30 minutes of effort the teen was dead from a gunshot wound to the left of his chest.

The victim was a first year electrical engineering student at a vocational college in the city.

Fellow student Suphanat told police that on Sunday he had gone with Wittawat and a close friend called Prasert to play football at a temple some way out of town. After that they went to a friend's house but there was no trouble.

Later that evening they were riding home on two motorcycles with Wittawat alone.

At least three men in masks took a shot at Suphanat but missed hitting his bike.

They then shot at his friend hitting him before they fled.

All three teens then got onto one bike and rode off back towards Phitsanulok.

They drove ten kilometers and got to the Phitsanulok - Uttaradit Road before it became obvious that their friend was in a serious way and they stopped to seek help.

He died where they stopped.

They had no idea why they were targeted, said the teens.

Police are studying CCTV to get a lead in the case that Thai Rath said may involve inter-college gangs.

For the last 45 years it has seemed like when a student attends a technical school. he must agree to act in a militant way to students of any other technical school to include all forms of Manheim. To include gang beatings (they are never alone in this),property destroying and Murder.
