A whale shark was found caught up in a fishing net at Ao Nang between Koh Phi Phi and Koh Khaew (Green Island) by ‘Kietwarin 3’ fishing boat over the weekend. The whale shark was 5 metres and weighed around 1.5 tons.

Hooray,  good news for a change, Whalesharks are one of the most impressive aquatic creatures and to hear of one being released instead of killed is great.

A big well done to the crew,  hope your next catch is ultra profitable.

Good news and kudos to the fast action of the captain & crew. A rare thumbs up!

Oh so they released this one not like the marbled whipray.one member pointed out to me it was ok to kill the rare whipray as he could get good money for it to put food on the family table for a couple of months.this beauty could of fed a family for years.some people's mentality is beyond belief.
