Heavy rain in Phitsanulok's Muang district on Monday morning caused flooding at Ban Mae Rahan School, prompting teachers and pupils to spend time draining water out of the building.

The low-lying school building in Tambon Ban Krang, which is used for Prathom 2-4 classes, was surrounded by 30cm-deep water.

The deluge happened so fast, teachers weren't able to move all their teaching materials out of harm’s way in time, resulting in some equipment and textbooks being damaged.

The school didn't need to suspend classes, however, as those whose classrooms weren't affected were still able to continue their lessons while the flood-hit rooms were being drained and cleaned by teachers, students and janitors.

It looks that they already have kind of flood walls, but not good enough. Not so hard to make them around the school if this happens more often. But it's the same a s the cold in the North it just happens en the government keeps giving the blanket and warm clothes, every year. Here in Phitsanulok the rain also is coming every year after year and they just let it happen.
