Please help to translate the address, thanks

Featured Replies

I want to give my address to my wife and let her send something to me by post....but I've only got the Thai address. Can anyone help me to translate...please?

Lumpini Place Rama 9 - Ratchada
ถนน พระราม 9 ซอย 6 แขววง ห้วยขวาง Din Daeng, Krung Thep Maha Nakhon 10310

What follows is the translation of the portion written in Thai (only):

   Phraram 9 Road

   Soi 6

   Huay Kwang Sub-district

Note: It is not really required to write "Subdistrict " on mail. One usually sees: "road", "soi", Huay Kwang, Din Daeng...

Thanks a lot.

So the full address I should write is

RM XX/XXX, XX/F

LPN B, Lumpini Place Rama 9 - Ratchada

Phraram 9 Road

Soi 6

Krung Thep Maha Nakhon

Bangkok 10310

THAILAND

Is that correct?

Add one line following "Soi 6"

    "Huay Kwang, Dindaeng"

You can delete:  "Krungthep Mahanakon"  - that means "Metropolitan Bangkok", which is redundant given that the following line says "Bangkok", and contains the postal code.

I think that "Rama 9" is more widely used than "Phraram 9" when written in Latin alphabet.

I don't understand why you want to translate the address. Just print it out and tape it on the envelope. At the bottom of the address, you write THAILAND in English in big letters. Mail it that way from any country in the world, it will be delivered. When mailing internationally, only the country name needs to be in English. It's fine (and actually preferable) for everything else in the address to be written in the local language.
