Any Alternative Music bars/venues in Bangkok?
The Bangkok nightlife scene is absolute crap and has been for a long time. The days of Mystique, Q-Bar, and Bed Supper Club are long gone. Post Covid you got left are two nightlife ghettos that reserved. Sukhumvit Soi 11, which is an Indian ghetto filled with uninspiring bars and hookers and then you got Khao San Road, which is an offensive backpacker ghetto that is too loud and now also filled with hookers. The only nightlife scene you might find without lots of hookers would be something very local, which most foreigners aren't interested in. You could try Ekamai or RCA. There are a couple of cool bars down in Chinatown, or there were anyway before Covid, maybe a couple of them are still there, but I haven't bothered checking. I can't think of any place that I would consider "having a vibe" though in Bangkok anymore and there hasn't been for at least 10 years already. -

Israel Hamas War the Widening Middle East Conflict
If you look at the page that deals with the Israel-Hamas war on the Web site of the Committee to Protect Journalists, you'll see that of the "141 Journalists and Media Workers Killed in Israel and the Occupied Palestinian Territory, Lebanon between 2023 and 2024 / Motive Confirmed or Unconfirmed," omly ONE worked for a real media outlet (a cameraman for Reuters killed by an artillery shell in Lebanon). The others were members of Hamas or terrorist groups associated with Hamas. They weren't journalists in the sense the word is commonly used in the West. Virtually all the Palestinians who were killed were propagandists for terror organizations and thereforegitimate targets. Do you get on well with Thai People?
I never had any problems with this I have about 50 thai friends who's allways been nice to me. I speak thai well makes it easier to understand echother.I been living in surin before.. allways safe there.That time i helped the local police to translate if they arrested a foreigner.They called me if they needed help about that. I used to go to karaoke in prasat with my thai police friends.Many joinful nigths there where we allways ended up in a VIP room with some girls What happened there i will not tell here but it was funny times I stayed away from farang bars there The last years i been in Bangkok and hua-hin and always feel safe.If thais in a bar start fighting echother i just leave quickly. -

Solar Jack Knife Switch Question
The original switch looks solid for 12A DC at 72V. Maybe you could also say what type of switch you would prefer for your wife. Maybe you like a push button, then you can have it, but need a kind of solid state relay in a little box.
