Mild panic attack, GF submitted her completed papers at Trendy yesterday(i completed the forms for her) and I have just noticed that I entered her date of birth incorrectly, 26th January instead of 4th January, year is correct.Any ideas if I can correct this or do anything at all ????

Just noticed, I did the same thing on last years application

Unfortunatly the UKVI have made themselves impossible to contact, so I'm not sure that you'll be able to correct the error at this stage, of course it would be regarded as your GF's error, not yours.

As the DOB of birth is printed on the Visa Vingette, hopefully it will be picked up.

As Carlos asks, was it picked up last year?

Yes the visa was issued last year, looking at a scan I took of the visa there does not seem to be the date of birth on it (unlike previous years)although it is a scan so the quality is not so good

found a better copy of the visa from last year and it does show the DOB

But did they correct your error?

I seem to recall that another members partner noticed the wrong date of birth had been printed on the visa vignette and the UKVI did reissue the visa free of charge, but I think the applicant had to jump through hoops, not the least with VFS, but on that occasion the fault lay with the UKVI.

I suppose that if you live locally you could go to VFS and see what they say, at least you'd have it on record that you'd tried to get it sorted.

Yes the error was corrected and it showed the correct DOB,I feel such a fool as we have had ten previous VV without any problem and I just copied the information from last years application.I put the wrong day probably because both my sons and GFs birthdays are in January. At least I got the month and year wrong.I just hope the ECO will not consider this as a cause for refusal.

Looking ahead at a worst case and they did put the wrong date of birth, how can you contact them to get it corrected, as you said, they now make it almost impossible to contact them.
