Orthopedic recommendation Pattaya?

Featured Replies

Finally convinced wife to consult with an orthopedic doc after years of spray, gel and occasional cortisone injections into her knee to fight the pain...

so can you please point me into the right direction of a knee specialist in Pattaya or any place around (up to and including Bangkok, if necessary)

Thank you in advance

You will not get the same level of expertise in Pattaya that you can in Bangkok . If being treated in Pattaya is your top priority and cost is not a big factor  then try one of these two doctors at BPH:

Dr. Sukree Khumrak

Dr. Nammon Yaikwavong

I don't have any feedback on either, just basing this on qualifications.

Best knee doctor in Thailand is in Bangkok

repeated cortisone injections weaken the joint.  She should ask whether HA injections (Synvisc) would be  appropriate for her

If Synvisc is recommended by Dr Panya, you might want to get the injections at another hospital, Bangkok Christian for example.  I checked on Synvisc earlier this year and the price difference between Bumrungrad and BCH is dramatic. Bumrungrad quoted me B33,000 per knee exclusive of other costs.  a doctor at BCH quoted about B20,000.

I think that one of the advantages of living in Pattaya is that good medical and dental care is only 2 hours away, and inexpensive to get there. Same is true for people living in Hua Hin.

So take Sheryl’s advice and you will be happy you did
