"Pattaya's a lovely place - but they should clear up the trash", says tourist

Pattaya Update News reported that one of their reporters was driving in South Pattaya near the Thappraya intersection when he stopped to take pictures of litter on both sides of the road.

This was a disgraceful mess especially as it is an area frequented by tourists with lots of hotels and entertainment areas.

At that precise moment a man who seemed to be a European tourist appeared to help with the pointing.

The unnamed tourist lamented that this rubbish all over the place was not a good thing.

"Pattaya is a lovely place," he said. ""But they really need to clear up the litter".

Just looks like the normal Thailand to me.

could be any place in Thailand, on any day on any Soi.

Ps. The guy in the picture should be arrested for having such crap tattoos on show in public.

Only missing a couple of scabby dogs.

Then it wouldn't be Pattaya, would it!

If you think that is bad go to Chaweng in Samui at 7 am. The main street is awash with cartons of half eaten food, empty beer bottles and vomit.

That is not what I would call "litter". That is garbage, and yes it should be cleaned up.

Sounds like a heck of a fun night..

Nothing better then a long night out and a good barf before you head home.

Try not using the word vomit.

Pavement pizza is much better.

If you dont like Pattaya then thats fine, but i don't understand your need to persistently make these unoriginal comments we have read hundreds of times over the years. You really should try and come up with something more original and be less boring.

How about "Pattaya is the pits"   :sorry:

Speaking of boring, I fell asleep halfway through your inane and meaningless post.

Trash can have an alternative meaning...

clean up both & Pattaya might just be the family friendly beach resort it pretends to be!

I thought he was wearing a tasteless, long-sleeved shirt.

Well, he is right.
If it would be just a small percentage spent of the trillions Thais make on tourists - Pattaya would be a much better place!
Filth and dirt everywhere.
Very unthai.
