Just want to praise the U.O.B.Bank in Ratchaburi.

I had 3,500 bahts worth of burnt notes . ( edges mostly ). All watermarks and numbers untouched.

I went to the Krungthai Bank who told me they couldn't exchange them but sent me to Kasikorn , sorry can not  , but sent me to S.C.B. who said they would have to take the notes and send them to Bangkok to be checked and could possibly take a month.

So we went in to a Bangkok bank who refused them.

On an off chance I went into a U.O.B. bank , never been in one before , didn't even know what U.O.B. stood for till know.

They could not have been more accommodating if they tried , in and out with new notes with in 5 minutes.

Thank you U.O.B.

There are also one if the most easy banks to open bank account without work permit or own condo/house. When my Visa card expire next year with bangkok bank will switch to them complete.
