It's hard to be a footie fan in the US as you maybe get one Prem game a week without paying out your ass for cable, and the bars only show the Mexican League besides (goof football anyway)....

So now my stay for the next 7 months or so concides with the Prem and Thai leagues....

What's the scoop on the Port team in the Thai League. Cheap to go? Do the Thai fans act like barbarians or are they well behaved?

Is there a good Footie watching bar in the Ari area? How about Ekkamai? By good I mean cheap, friendly and no girls necessary.

I'm Man U, Tottenham and Millwall so I don't want to be around Arsenal or West Hamm fans....

If you are in Bangkok on Sunday Port are playing Buriram which is first against 3rd. Though in all honesty Buriram are by far the best team in Thailand. 6pm kick off at the PAT stadium.

You will probably find that Thai fans are the best behaved fans in the world. I've been going to matches home and away for well over a year now and have yet to see any trouble.

Cost of entry is 100 baht. Beer and food is available before and after the game tho no alcohol is allowed inside the ground.

There is anything between 50 to maybe 100 or more Western fans at any home game, so no problem finding someone to talk about football too, but being as you are an American we will assume you know nothing about the game anyway ?

I don't bother watching Premier league games now, but most bars Thai or Western will have games on.

I should also add that Port have a Futsal team. One of the top 2 clubs in Thailand, sadly they are currently on a 6 weeks break. Which also reminds me that after Sunday there will be a 4 week break for the football teams also.

Not a real football fan but I'd go but not if I can't watch the game with a beer.

Port United are reputed to be the Millwall of the Thai league?

Yeah Port is called Port because it is the Port Authority of Thailand team, Millwall fans tend to be dockers. That's about as close as they get.

Don't believe to much of what you read.

I love Millwall. Nobody likes us and we don't care. I hope I meet a real Millwall fan someday!

As a Swindon town fan all this talk of football makes me jealous ?You could download match of day  from a torrent site or expat site like tv chaos Uk  if you can't find a bar?

Crossbar off Suk Soi 23 is a good spot to watch the footy.

Its rumoured some Spurs and Man Yoo supporters gather there most weekends to hurl insults at each other in amongst rounds of beer.
