But the Benz avoided any damage, so that driver wins ?   All 3 were driving like <deleted> anyway... No sympathy at all..

What a fuss. A couple of scratches on the bumper. A little paint, buff and polish, sorted.

Every car in the world has one already. It's called your right foot.

I think if he didn't hit the Mc Laren he would of hit the other car

Pickup put his breaks on way to late

Brakes of a pick up are not as good as brakes of an Mc Laren. Not enough distance for all involved.

Did the pick up driver do a runner ? :giggle:

Nope, the Mc Laren driver did.....?

Accidents happen, especially in Thailand, looks like he just got

the McClaren still on red plates, just the type of car you need

for the Autobahns of Thailand, should get up to 200 M.p.h

easy.

If the owner can afford a 30m car then he can afford to have the car repaired.

I recall back in the 1990's Asian Financial Crisis, so many Mercs and BMW's were re-possessed in BKK.   Just coz you owned a luxury sportscar didn't necessarily mean you could afford it.

The McLaren driver might owe 31 mil. baht on his 30 mil. baht toy.

So many races everywhere,  no wonder the accident statistics.

Doubt it. If proven dangerous driving , no ins.

Nonsense.

A couple thousand baht at the neighborhood body shop and all is well

Agree , but DON"T leave the key or inform Somchai how to start the Big Mc. He would just love to show his mates his borrowed car.

Have you ever thought what the "Autobahns of Thailand" would look like without Farang money? ?

With so many potholes I wouldn't chance driving a 30 million baht car on the roads here!

No McLaren pick-up in the pipeline? Something for the Udon Hi-so .

Plus creased wing. New wing, new bumper, respray = megabucks.

this would be at least $15,000 USD back when I had a Range Rover in the States with the side panel and bumper and lets say a rear door. So double or triple for McLaren.

Hope they can match the paint. :shock1:

Recently had one wing of my white car resprayed, here in Thailand. Guy wanted to buy the paint in advance so I offered to give him the chassis number to ensure a match. "Not need" he said and took the filler cap cover off to take to the paint shop. Asked me what I thought when he'd finished the job. I said "Close, but no cigar!".

I agree. But this guy has big money and a small d*ck.

No vehicle like that should be allowed on public roads, only race-tracks

Most roads here are like race tracks.

No no!

Has to be flown to manufacturers site for special repair by the one and only mechanic approved.

No less than a million.

:cheesy:

(not meant serious, but don't expect that this car will go to some arbitrary body shop)

Surprised to read that the pickup driver is blamed most.

The two irresponsible racing pricks shortened his path.

Motorway 7 is NOT a race track.

And it's another proof why pickups are NOT safe cars.

Long break distance, immediately flying off the path on a full break (no ABS you can bet, no electronic helpers).

Paah t'is nothing .. If McLaren can rebuild Mr Bean's F1 after this even if the insurance bill was close to a million pound allegedly then the 720 can be sorted no problem .. ( naff colour by the way ) .. McLaren thereselves advise and organise driver training at reserved tracks for this sort of car .. Good luckee charms and amulets don't have the protection power needed for these motah's ..

This is what happens when you got a supercar with big brakes stopping fast and being followed by a pickup. This wouldn't have happened if the guy in the supercar wasn't speeding and having to brake harder than normal when it got stuck behind slower cars.

Left side over wheel arch is also damaged......100k min to repair by Mc Laren surely he's not going to get a 30 Million car fixed by the local bodyshop...5555

Not quite..  I'll bet the paint will cost upwards of B100,000 and we don't know if there is any damage that is not visible to the eye.

Nothing to do with fast driving. The McLaren had stopped when the pickup hit it

The Pick up driver "thought" he was in a Mclaren...what a tw-at! I rather surprised he didnt try and race with a bed full of fruit as  well.

Bit of an anti-climax, I was hoping to see that monstrosity of

consumerism pulverized into smithereens!

Looks like a grey import to me, has the owner paid the import tax? Maybe it arrived in kit form, pity they left it in primer, was the top coat of paint not included in the kit?

Shame that but there again just illustrates further the brainless Thai drivers and the penis for brains who drive pick-ups

Fair play sort of, but being "Followed" by a pick up ? More like Pickup stupidly trying to keep up, or get past in traffic
Yes maybe the Guy should not have been driving so fast (Lovely Car Though) But the Pick Up Driver . .  Hmmm Situation Normal here . .

Fink someone was not reading the road ahead....?

Somchai will fix it, a bit of chicken wire and bondo.

Probably the same somchai who thought his plastic brembo brake caliper caps made his clapped out pick up a F1 car.

Most pick ups are driven with no load in the bed so no real grip at the rear wheels or are overloaded ending up with the front wheels on the verge of waving about in the air. Plus tyre pressures that are way over the limit required.
