exchange iraqi dinar in bangkok

Hi, I found some iraqi dinar in my home I didnt knew I even had and since I have absolut no use for them I wanted to exchange them to tbh, however.. I went to pretty much every exchange place and bank in bangkapi and nobody wants to accept them (im not suprised lol). 

 

Thought I still kinda wanna get rid of them, does anybody know any exchange/bank that would accept them ? I even tried the islamic bank but even they dont want iraqi money.

Not sure about Iraqi Dinar, but you could try some of the money changers around Sukhumvit Soi 3, particularly in the small soi linking 3 and 5.  They have changed various Middle Eastern currencies for me that banks wouldn't take.

Hold up a sign (peer to peer)

And make sure it is worth more than the Skytrain ticket.

Otherwise: not even the professionals (SIA, Superrich) have it on their published rates.

1 IQD = 0.028 THB / 0.00084  USD.

And officially there is a 1/1000 division called "fils"

100,000 iraqi dinar, that only comes out at 2700baht, but since u study at moment i kinda want that money exchanged haha

Thanks i will try, thanks for the advice since no bank wants to accept this currency either ?

Dont have any millions, just 100,000. I just doubt that its going to hold its value, or even still be in use a few years from now, so i just wanna get rid of it even if the exchange rate would be bad haha

THB 2,700 makes it a little tough to put a lot of time and effort into it.

The shops and money changers around Nana probably a good an option as any...

If I'd live in Bangkok and being bored I would try for 2700 Baht.

Interestingly the volatility to the Dollar was not that big during the last two years.

But expect that they might slash some zeroes (new notes) in the future.
