Obtaining green book for imported bike

Sorry if this has already been covered.

I have seen a 250 Kawasaki Estrelle for sale, comes with the tax invoice but no green book yet. Any ideas on how much it would cost to get the green book?

I imported a bike long time ago. To get the green book all I had to do is get it tested at the government testing area.

Law changed 6 or so years ago

No second hand bikes allowed to be registered.

Or follow M1 Tankers post about how he imported his.

Very involved process.

Yeah I tried with a mongrel multi-year Honda CB400 about 12 years ago and we got to a cost of around 58,000 baht, 27,000 baht was for a no refund test, if it failed on the slightest thing you had to pay for another test. 

I bought bike for 57,000 so no brainer to the outcome.
