I recently purchased my first Android tablet that I intend to mainly use to listen to Audiobooks. I can transfer all the Audiobooks from my PC to the SD card OK, but then the books automatically appear in the Music app as well as still on the SD card. I do have an Audio reader app as well where I listen to the books. The purpose of using a SD card was to conserve internal space on the tablet, but the automatic transfer is defeating that. Any solutions?

Have you gone into the file manager app to see if the files are actually moved to the internal memory?

What audio player app is it?  I use VLC and MX Player on my Android phones and tablets and neither one moves my tunes or audio books from the external SD.

I stay away from the pre-loaded players because they all seem to want to "phone home" and give me all kinds of information I don't care for about the content I'm playing- some of which may be of dubious origin.  And, I assume, collect all kinds of information to sell to God only knows who.

They may appear to show within an app that is on your internal memory but the actual files will be on sdcard.

You can confirm by looking at files from file manager as someone else suggested.

It's called Simple ABP from Playstore, it's a free app.
