No - from Guangzhou you get on a bus/coach from various places and go to the Macau border at Zhuhai. Less than a couple of hours each way. The queues at Immigration can be a bit much at the weekend but it is what it is. Have lunch and come back. Transport cost to the border used to be 70RMB (about 350 baht) but that was a few years ago.
