50 marijuana plants seized from corn plantation

The authorities raided a corn plantation in Loei's Dan Sai district on Wednesday evening and seized 50 marijuana plants.
 

Acting on a tip-off, Dan Sai district chief Prayoon Aranrut led rangers and border patrol policemen to check a hillside plantation behind Ban Na Nam Thuam village in Tambon Na Hor at 6pm.

 

The plants, which were from 30 cm to 2.30 metres tall, were found among corn plants.

 

Three homemade riles and two “bongs” ¬- bamboo marijuana smoking devices - were also found.

The authorities have yet to question the plantation owner.

My err.. neighbour, grew one that was 2m high which was a problem because his fence was only 1.8m tall. Given the right conditions they can shoot up pretty quickly, so I'm told.
