Chinese family moving here on retirement visa, son wants to improve English or learn Thai.

What are the best/optimum courses available to him currently to obtain an ed visa. Costs etc if possible.

Thanks

If he is not over 20 years old he could get an extension for being a family member of the parent to that is on a OA or extension of stay based upon retirement.

He does not have to be on a non-ed visa or extension of stay based upon attending school. Not needing the visa or extensions gives more options for schools and reduces the cost for them.

So if a child is over 20 years old, he can't live in Thailand on his parents' retirement visa?

One doesn't come to Thailand to learn English not when there are so many better English teachers in China and also because most Thai can't speak English well.

The only option is to learn Thai since he will be staying in Thailand.
