Musk calls Trump’s big tax break bill a ‘disgusting abomination'
The non-partisan office that scores the cost of legislation on Capitol Hill warned that more than 10.9 million people could lose their health coverage if President Donald Trump’s proposed “One Big, Beautiful Bill” act passes. Of that number, 7.8 million people would lose their Medicaid coverage. The Congressional Budget Office, the non-partisan office that evaluates the effects of bills being debated, released its comprehensive report on the overall impacts of the legislation, which the House of Representatives passed late last month. Recent trip to UK with Qatar air- A very sad, heartbreaking visit.
I agree, I went on a trip to London last year and to was shocked of all the Middle Easterners there. I stop with the family at a fish and chips shop and that was the worst experience I have ever had. Last but not least, had to pay $200 USD tax upon departure-Not a very good trip. The only highlight was the visit to Stonehedge. Next trip Edinburgh-"Happy Travels." -

Accident Motorcyclist Killed Instantly After Crashing Into Car Parked Against Traffic
Picture courtesy of Khaosod. A 45-year-old man died at the scene after his motorcycle collided with a car parked against the flow of traffic on a rural road in Tha Sala district, Nakhon Si Thammarat. Police Lieutenant Colonel Somchai Muaydee, Deputy Superintendent of Tha Sala Police Station, received a report of a fatal road crash involving a motorcycle and a car on Ban Thung Prue Road, Moo 7, Sakaeo subdistrict. Officers, along with an investigative team, a medical examiner and volunteers from the Siam Ruamjai Pu In Foundation, were dispatched to the scene. Authorities discovered a silver bronze Mazda, registration number from Nakhon Si Thammarat, parked facing the wrong direction on the roadside. The car had visible damage to its front-left side. Nearby, a heavily damaged green Honda motorcycle, registration from Chonburi, lay in a roadside ditch. The body of Mr Jirasak, 45, a local resident of Sakaeo, was found under a banana tree beside the road. He had sustained severe chest trauma and a broken neck, and was pronounced dead at the scene. Initial investigations indicate that the victim had been riding along the road and, upon entering a curve, encountered the stationary car. Unable to brake in time, he crashed directly into it and was thrown off the motorcycle into the roadside vegetation. Police are continuing to investigate whether the car had been parked illegally or had been travelling against traffic before stopping. Witness statements and further evidence are being collected as legal proceedings move forward. Adapted by Asean Now from Khaosod 2025-06-05 -

US Tourist's Temple Graffiti Sparks Outrage in Chiang Mai
Wat Lam Chang. Picture courtesy of Wikipedia A US tourist has sparked controversy by defacing a historical temple wall in Chiang Mai. Police are racing to track the traveller who allegedly vandalised Wat Lam Chang with graffiti, leaving by plane shortly after the incident. The temple’s abbot discovered the damage to the wall on Ratchapakhinai Road early Tuesday. This centuries-old site, dating back to the Lanna kingdom's founding, has faced repeated acts of vandalism. The recent offence involved black spray paint defacing a mural with English text and a house design. Picture courtesy of Bangkok Post Wat Lam Chang's long history is intertwined with the heritage of Chiang Mai, making its desecration a significant issue for locals. The temple, over 650 years old, has been a repeated target, leading to increased security measures, including the installation of CCTV cameras. This latest incident, caught on video, revealed the perpetrator arriving on a motorcycle. The police confirmed that the suspect, an American national, has fled Chiang Mai, prompting coordination with immigration to trace his whereabouts. This case follows a troubling trend of international visitors disrespecting Thailand’s cultural sites, frequently resulting in legal action. The abbot of Wat Lam Chang insists on pressing charges without any negotiations, aiming to uphold the site's sanctity. Meanwhile, Chiang Mai Police have yet to solve previous vandalism cases, highlighting an ongoing challenge in protecting such heritage sites. This incident underlines growing concerns over the safeguarding of Chiang Mai's cultural treasures amid a surge in tourism. Calls for tougher regulations and preventive strategies intensify as similar cases continue to emerge nationwide. Authorities emphasise the importance of preserving the rich cultural legacy against the backdrop of increasing vandalism by foreign visitors. Adapted by ASEAN Now from Bangkok Post 2025-06-04 -

I don't know why nearly every crackhead, drunkard and beggar on the UK streets is a white UK citizen. I've seen a couple of blacks of West Indian origin out of their heads but they don't usually beg. Never seen an Asian beg.
