Where go on BTS?

Featured Replies

It's raining cats and dogs where can we go on the BTS to escape the fleshpots of Sukhumvit?

Somewhere interesting different and less sleazy

Thanks

When? Now?

Go to bed if you can't find anything interesting to do! Why ask us?

You are so adventurous taking that BTS line

No that would be the MRT

To escape the fleshpots...or... the floods... are they connected in some way?

standing under the bts usually gets you out of the rain

Just spent 2 days there, Go to Pratnum , maybe Platanum plaza, there is a long covered elevated walkway that goes from 2nd floor Platnum down Ratchadamri Rd and extends all the way past Central world then crosses the road to another large building that you walk through then connects with the BTS covered walkways going up and down Rama 1 Rd. Good exercise at the least.

Take the BTS to the last stop in Thonburi. Thonburi is invariably drier than Bangkok side. Walk down to street level then start walking home. By the time you get there it will be sunny. Guaranteed.

How much money you willing to spend? I'd take the airport connection out to the airport, wonder around a bit there.

Yep, those elevated walkways look a great place for a longish stroll. Particularly they should build one all through lower Suk from Phloenchit to Asoke. Then, let the sidewalk vendors and  street carts back on the ground. Life becomes good then. Want to go briskly from A to B, first take an escalator up. Want to savor Bkk, stay down.

Nana plaza, that's why they just spent half a million dollars on the new roof. Sit at one of the bars in the middle and stay dry, ignore the fleshpots round the outside. You can also take a power nap in their microstay hotel for a very reasonable 350 baht, enjoy a plate of larb moo and pop in to the on-site hairdresser for a trim.
