My wife with last nights dinner e-yummy.gif

It is still alive by the way, expensive mind you (57,000 Korean Won).

However, it alone fed me, my with and the MIL.

According to http://www.xe.com/ucc/ 2,048.51 THB. expensive I know for one crab, but it fed three adults until full without any rice. So really not too bad for a gourmet meal.

Not sure who is more delicious, my wife of nearly 5 years and the mother of my two kids or that fantastic crab...well the crab was cheaper :o

How the hel_l did you manage to cook that monster??

The pot on the stove behind your wife in the picture only looks big enough to cook one leg at a time!

Pretty much how she did it. Took all the legs off and cooked the body, then cooked the legs in two goes. Wih a little spicy dip it was a great meal.

I know mate, that crab was delicious and unobtainable in Thailand. :D:D:D

Wow, that crab is huge. How old would one this big be?

I don't know if a Crab grows the same but I saw something on a cookery show only this morning. A 1.5kg Lobster is usually about 6 years old and they can live until 75 years. :o I didn't know that until today

Not sure mate, but it did have barnacles on it, so i presume atleast 5 years.

These crabs are for sale everywhere here, some are bigger.

King Crab, google them.

The meat is a lot sweeter than the Boo Talay or such that you get in Thailand, I am a seafood lover, I seriously worry that I will never enjoy a Thai crab again.

MrBoj This fella weighed in at just over 4kg. For me the majority of the weight is inedible, but my wife...well she will eat anything so the whole of the crab was ingested by the 3 of us. I ate the meat whilst my wife and MIL ate the guts :o

I lived in Scarborough and spent all my time on the beach in the 60's.

Wouldn't it be ironic if we knew each other? :D

That is one big crustacean, Tuky. Looks bigger than his Alaskan brethren. How fat was the leg meat?

Not really. My wife got ripped off for more than that for 1 person crab meal, at the seafood restaurant on the corner of two road and Pattaya klang, opposite Tops. :o
