Had it for quite a while - Med’s don’t help, and a few other approaches don’t either

This did though - daily sports tape. Start with little tension on outside , and pull reasonably tight on the inside arch ( on 24 hrs a day )

So far pain free for 2 weeks - will keep it up for a few weeks to see if can get rid of it

What worked for me was a variant of same thing - elastic  arch supports  that encircle the foot and pull up the arch.

there are a wide variety of these on the market, avoid the ones with gel pads, go for the simple elastic (sometimes called a compression sleeve)

Like this  https://www.amazon.com/Compression-Foot-Sleeves-Men-Women/dp/B07J1YPHNM/ref=sr_1_18_s_it?s=hpc&ie=UTF8&qid=1539867004&sr=1-18-spons&keywords=arch%2Bsupport&th=1

The other thing that is key is to switch to only wearing shoes with arch support.  Either shoes that come with it (Vionic brand makes flip flops with good arch support, there are also some Dr Scholl brand) or else use inserts. This is important otherwise the problem may recur.

Exercises to stretch the achilles tendon help some people thoguh didn't do much for me, it was the arch support that worked.

I have had similar succes with the arch supports, also just a plain old bandage and strapping the same as the supports.

I used to do a lot of long distance walking in the UK and developed a sore heel, the doctor called it "policemans heel", the only answer was to have cortisan injections. This would have been about 25 years ago, I have had no trouble since.

I had similar issues, and medication didn't help.

I removed the inlays from my shoes and ordered
