On average, a person takes their own life every 40 seconds somewhere in the world. In Thailand, six people attempt suicide every hour and one succeeded every two hours last year.

[Wake Up]

I was hoping many TVF posters would read this and recognize that a lot of the jumps off of the balconies are actual suicides. Terrible problem all over the world and mental health care is needed and should be provided to all that need it IMO.

i could think of much better and painless ways to kill myself other than jumping off a building.

True but you are not suicidal and do not feel like you can’t take life anymore and will be better off dead than alive. And most jumps are not premeditated IMO.
