BANGKOK, 26 October 2018 (NNT) - Newly-appointed Government Spokesman Puttipong Punnakan officially started work on Thursday, saying the government will continue to provide correct information to the public.

Mr.Puttipong, who is also deputy secretary-general for politics to the prime minister, said he will focus on providing the public with information from the government as the government’s road map is entering into the general election phase. Some groups have already begun attempts to discredit the government, said the spokesman.

Mr.Puttipong added that the government’s spokesperson team is still the same but more members may be added depending on the situation. The team will provide more information to the public about the government’s achievements, he said.

The first incorrrect information. There are no government’s achievements except conspiring with your PDRC to stage the coup.

I hardly think that this can warrant a bigger team!

He vows to say what he's told to say!

Let's concoct a new job that maybe gives the horrible public the meaningless info they keep asking for . . . talk about jobs for the boys.

Presumably that will include finally getting the election date correct.

'Vows' eh? Must be serious. Thais do a lot of 'vowing'.

  • Popular Post

This is the guy who was a PDRC leader, appointed at the end of September to an assistant to PM role, and now taken over the spokesman role. He is of course a key member as well of the Palang party..... Nothing to see  here.

What he is trying to say is that it is his job to make the Government statements, thus stopping the big guy from putting his big foot in it every time he speaks.

Yes, in the realms of junta jargon, one vow compensates for one broken promise, give or take.

"continue to provide correct information to the public"

Right. Methinks poor quality loaded language isn't a very good start. Is he a soldier or just a lackey? Not that I suppose it makes very much difference.

Added, that such statements are a universal contradiction in terms the world over.

More disconcerting is that most populations buy into the schemes, however they manifest.

Dumbing down, and it's promotions thereof, appears to be ubiquitous.

"Some groups have already begun attempts to discredit the government, said the spokesman".

How terrible!   He may not be aware that in a democracy, that is exactly what groups opposed to the Government always do.  They pick on the policies that they disagree with and then discredit them.  Of course, this is what happens in democracies, so it does not apply to Thailand.

what ?? tell the truth, must be an election coming up. how about highh treason for starters

More staff being added to the PM's media team in the lead up to the election. The junta's propaganda arm is growing as fast as Pinocchio's nose.
