"Ghost of the Widows" is in town coming to take Korat men!

"Ghost of the Widows" is in town coming to take Korat men!

The words on the t-shirt: "There are NO men in this house, only women"

Villagers in Korat are afraid that an evil spirit is coming for their menfolk.

Word spread like wildfire through the village of Nong Bung in Phimai district when a man died in his sleep.

It could only mean one thing: Phee Mae Mai (the ghost of the widows) was on the loose.

San Yendee, 58, was one of many locals who attached red t-shirts with signs to the trees and front gates of their houses.

The shirts had Thai wording that said there were no men in the houses, only women.

They hope this will save the men from being taken by the ghost for her evil purposes.

Or at least give the living some peace of mind, reported Daily News.

The only spirit the men are likely to encounter is a bottle of whisky.

This is the 21st century after all, so this hocus pocus rubbish really should have been left behind.

Stuns me that such superstitious nonsense is still believed. People die all the time and I have yet to see an autopsy report saying the supernatural was responsible.

Isn't this another re-hash of a news article from a couple of weeks ago?

It could also mean another thing: Lao Khao doesn't mix well with certain other things.

Splendid stuff.

Homo Sapiens is astonishingly inventive when it comes to the Lao Khao epidemic-and many other epidemics, when it comes to that..

Ok, it´s confirmed! They have bargirls in Korat too.

What if the ghost is an immigrant and can't read Thai, they will be buggered then.

What if ghosty hasn't got a torch to read the sign ? and what if its forgotten its reading glasses ? and what if it just ignores signs anyway .. There's a lot of shortcomings in this leaving signs out to scare Ghostwoman off that I can see ..

Hope this ghost has a work permit and/or ID card. Other ghosts might not like the idea of a new ghost on the block....er...do ghosts have any legal rights?

I know politicians never canvass them - they're permanently floating voters.

Why is it always a red shirt?.

Some of the things written on here. You just can't make this shit up. Amazing Thailand

Aw, come on everyone, it is Halloween tomorrow...the red shirt is because they have no pumpkins............
