The last photo showing (a price?) 150, has a "registered number" 617/25/61. Is this trying to suggest it is approved by some official body?

I wonder what is the longer number to the left of 150 trying to imply as well? Seems to me to be trying to deceive already.

the first number is the date "617/2561" .. with 2561 corresponding to 2018. The number at the bottom is likely a batch number ... but agree this is probably done to make it appear more legitimate.

I agree with you about the date, but it does actually say 'registered number' in Thai, not date.

Thailand is an adman's dream; an uneducated, gullible population who still believe in ghosts; magic; amulets.  Check out the number of trees wearing dresses!

They must be "appropriately dressed" at  all times, covering their leg.

Except that thais would write the date 176, not with the month first.

Even if you go to a pharmacist on the high street or hospital can you actually be sure what you're getting is what has been prescribed...
If it comes direct from the manufacturer then maybe ok, but I don't trust anything that comes in a bottle over the internet!

Late last year, an official found a large quantity of such pills stuffed into bags and abandoned in a vehicle at a checkpoint in Nong Khai province.

Nobody in the vehicle admitted to owning the bags.

" Pills ?? .. Ohh those pills " ..

"...SEEMINGLY effective medicine sets marketed under the “Ya Mor Thahan” (Medicines by Medics) banner can be dangerous and perhaps even lethal..."

It is vitally important that these medicines be used in conjunction with your magical amulet. Failure to heed these instructions may result in the user being haunted by an evil spirit or worse.

(sarcasm alert)

.... or worse.  "Two, or more, evil spirits"   (Warning: Smarty pants alert.)

Legalize medical marijuana and most people suffering from diseases that cause chronic pain will dump these 'dicey' meds.

Why , it's just another magical cure, it wont cure your arthritis.
