My wife and I were discussing how clear the air is today (for this time of year) ... looking at the not-too-distant mountains in Mae Rim. No serious forest fires or burning pollution problems considering how dry the season has been so far.

Still early ... stay tuned.

It varies a lot day to day.. It's not always related to burning in the immediate surrounding area. I don't doubt we'll get some really really bad days in the near future.. :o

With the increase in humidity in the last couple of days visibilty is better in Bangkok. When it's very dry there is a lot of haze. Pity the lower humidity and the clear visibility don't go together, but it would explain the haze in Dec/Jan/Feb.

Maybe the better weather these past few days is related to an increase in the heat. It means no inversion layers and a bit less of visible humidity.
