My wife and I were discussing how clear the air is today (for this time of year) ... looking at the not-too-distant mountains in Mae Rim. No serious forest fires or burning pollution problems considering how dry the season has been so far.

It varies a lot day to day.. It's not always related to burning in the immediate surrounding area. I don't doubt we'll get some really really bad days in the near future..

With the increase in humidity in the last couple of days visibilty is better in Bangkok. When it's very dry there is a lot of haze. Pity the lower humidity and the clear visibility don't go together, but it would explain the haze in Dec/Jan/Feb.

Maybe the better weather these past few days is related to an increase in the heat. It means no inversion layers and a bit less of visible humidity.
