Car damaged by fallen tree

PATTAYA:--A Toyota Camry was demolished when an old tree fell on it in Sattahip.

The palm in front of Apakorn Hospital toppled in a Nov. 22 storm. No one was injured, but the car was a write-off.

Owner Sirot Pungchum, 57, said he and his wife were at a restaurant nearby when the storm hit. He had paid 1.4 million baht for the car and only had 100,000 left on his payments. However he has insurance to cover the damage.

Owner might be able to get a tax refund now.....no one can deny that his ride qualifies as an eco car.
