Les Filles de Illighadad - Imigradan [2017]

Nice one, DB.  Another Tuareg band.  Tuareg people are originally a nomadic people covering a vast area of the Sahara.  Interesting history.  Tuareg bands offer something a bit different musically and I do love their guitar style.  I came across Bombino years ago and this guy shows excellent guitar skills.  He gets into a beautiful jam on this number.

Off the 2011 Tassili release.

very nice...the strumming sounds very north argentina/andean...

in Percival C Wren's The Foreign Legion Omnibus (Beau Geste, etc) the tuareg were described as 'the forgotten of god'...whatever, they can lay down a groove and that's what matters...

after all, didn't Robert Johnson make a faustian pact at the crossroads?

More 'different' . . . classical guitar from the Russian Estas Tonne busking in Germany in 2011.  If you're a guitar lover it's hard to not appreciate this.
