Haven't seen this discussed here. Anyone here going there during the next few days to check it out? Free tickets apparently. Could be something to do and check out.

Then I think no need for tickets ? ????

Looks like they will build a grandstand with seating for which you might need free tickets to avoid overcrowding?

Likely you might watch from the beach or road.

Yes they  normally build a grandstand   either at the "windsurf station" near soi 5

or a bit further on south near the "night market"

watching from the beach is no problem at all. (well hasn't been in the past)

Last year was busy and good fun to watch however i got free tickets though.

i fine with a yearly championship but those jetski rental People should disappear from Thai beaches

If you go sit on those grandstand seats  take an umbrella  as the sun really can "roast you alive"

in less than 30 minutes without protection.

it starts today

I went yesterday and there was a lot going on, racing, music, bikinis, lots of high end cars and bikes parked up on the seafront.

I never miss it when i'm in town.

great event.

Yes going down. Grandstand is up and can get complimentary tickets at Central Festival or Tesco main stores.

Been before and it was ok, plus there are the restaurants and bars just across beach road.

Noisy dangerous polluting things. I wouldn't go if they paid me to.

They do this every year, I went to have a look 2 years ago and yes it was noisy and I did not understand the attraction of it.
