There are plenty of illegal immigrants who are "white", but I reckon its easy to simplistically deride all Trump supporters as not only "idiots" but rascists  too.

By insulting people that one disagrees with, it eliminates the need to have an actual valid reason for one's viewpoint.

I think that anti Trumpers have been saying that it doesn't look good for him for coming on 2 years now. Somehow, the next big thing that is absolutely, definitely going to bring him down just never amounts to anything much at all.

Never mind, tomorrow there'll be another big thing to jump up and down about, and if there isn't, they can just insult him or his family. Remember when they were so disgusting that they even attacked his 10 year old son. There is apparently no low too low for the anti Trump media to stoop to.

Yes they have been up to fever pitch then back down to simmering resentment hundreds of times since he won the election. It's always "this time for sure" but of course it never is. The hunt was a bust, there was no fox. After two years of this it turns out Trump likes sex with porn stars, and may or may not have had a golden shower in a Russian hotel. Well call me mad, but nice one Donald, if I was a billionaire hotel developer and real estate magnate I would like to think I'd be boffing porn stars as well. He gives us all hope.

Interesting to note the results of this survey so far, seems the members here are an astute lot after all.

What does Trump do for avarage Joe, except making his future a bit more hard. One day, everyone have to pay up for the economic boom now, that is curtenly not sustainable. Where is the tradepartners in the future, when everyone have backed up their ecnomy, and find new partners. Isolation economy? US economy is booming now, but that is because it is on steroids, but how will it last? We wait and see, because the sweet you taste today, will be gone with the wind tomorow.

There is no way the world will put up with Trump for long.

Perfect example why he would win. He does not need to do anything specific. Average Joe has a job , and money. What happens in the “ world “ does not interest average Joe

less than two years to the next election...

I doubt even if he was impeached the Senate would remove him, even if they did I doubt the Republicans could distance themselves from this large tube of toxic wast as to ever have a Republican incumbent in the White House for decades to come.

But one thing for sure when walks off stage the agencies (FBI,CIA, IRS, etc.) will be waiting for him.

I hope you are right, but I could not believe he was elected in the first place. I have no political sense when it comes to gauging US politics. I am from Alabama, where most of the population considers me a communist because I believe in activist government.

So because someone backs a certain leader you don't agree with then you question their mental stability. You are obviously one of the unhinged leftists that would rather the US be run by the Lunatic Democrats. I'm an Aussie and I can't understand the deep seated hatred that some people can have towards a leader that loves his country. I guess you'd rather have seen Clinton take power.

You only have to watch the antics of the Democrats to work out where the mental instability comes from.

Can we an extra side order of irony please.  There isn't quite enough...

Do tell. Perhaps you can tell us all which Democrat president since Kennedy has served in a war. Even Bush the younger managed to avoid getting shot at.

In the interest of historical accuracy:

Johnson served in the military in WWII.  Carter was a Navy Cadet.

That's what I think about anyone that voted for the pant suited one, so fair enough.

To be regarded as an idiot by the likes of you I'll take as a compliment, so thanks!

Indeed, 56.6% either thinks he's a one time mistake or will go down in flames before the term is up. Personally I hope he'll choke on a Whopper (and I'm not talking about one of the many lies he tells on a daily basis).

Good that you picked me up on Johnson. I hadn't checked, which I should have. My bad.

I did check on Carter, and he never served in a war, as he graduated in 1946 and they didn't use submarines to fight in the Korean war.

Trump is toast. Once he loses re-election in 2020, he will be indited and face criminal charges. People of America are finally waking up to this idiot. Bad things happen to bad people. Trumps lies starting to catch up to him. Even his own attorneys told Robert Mueller that Trump is "incapable of telling the truth."

I agree with you EXCEPT for the 'bad things happen to bad people' part. Not always...not even close to always. And lots of bad things happen to the very best people.

That's why Average Joe is called average joe and that guy might not like what the future holds.

Let's see how many Average Joes will hold Trump responsible if this happens.

Loads of really bad people getting away with it. Mao and Stalin died in their beds instead of being dragged through the streets naked and bleeding. For every monster that is strung up like Mussolini or Sadam, many live out their lives in wealth and health, like Idi Amin in Saudi.

OK, so nearly 50% of the US loves Trump. And the rest of the world is waking up to the fact that yanks appear to be right wing extremists.

Look st the personal and so called presidential acts of this person and you must get a feeling of disquiet. Surely.

But no, he truly could shoot a man on the street. (actually this seems to be a sporting passtime in the US for many "citizens") and get away with it.

It says everything about the US. It has turned into a loathsome country.

I used to respect US. Just another immoral country like Russia now. Thank god for other countries like......? that you can respect

"Yanks appear to be right wing extremists and the US is loathsome." Your views that you used to respect the US I think sum up the global disillusionment and diminution in status the US has suffered under Trump. The US is no longer a reliable partner in global trade pacts, global trade in general, climate issues, NATO, and a whole host of other issues. Under Trump, there is a return to isolationism akin to the 1920s America, which is what Trump's base wants and as long as this base is consolidated and supporting Trump, he can stay in power failing legal events taking a hand or Democrats finding a way to consolidate a center-right bloc.

The Ascendancy of China and Russia on the world stage further minimize the US influence.

Actually closer to 39%. Do not forget, he lost the general election, and if it were not for the electoral college, he would be back hawking condos to the Russian mob.

The condition even has a name- TDS ( Trump derangement syndrome ), and the Dems would apparently rather that America was destroyed, than support him. Far as I can tell, they have no actual policies other than Trump hatred and impeachment.

So when Obama was President it equally could been said that the Republicans  "would apparently rather that America was destroyed, than support him"?

Would be interesting to know the nationalities of those who responded in this poll.  I.E.  Americans or others?

Yeah I suppose.

Here is a consensus of Individual-1 approval among Americans --

https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/trump-approval-ratings/?ex_cid=rrpromo

Currently averages out at about 42.5 percent. Changes constantly.

The poll here right now shows about 43 percent think Individual-1 will serve two terms.

Not suggesting that everyone choosing he will serve two terms are Individual-1 fans, but it's fair to assume most of them are.

I guess that beats a cross sampling of random people that reside in Thailand.

Even then the two term Trump results are stonger than I thought they would be on TV.

Hoping that someone will die is pretty insane.  I'm definitely not a Trump supporter but still I would not wish that he would die.  Is this the typical mantra of the extreme far left loonies?

"Hoping that someone will die is pretty insane."

Insane? Let's just say your definition of insane is very different to mine.

"I'm definitely not a Trump supporter but still I would not wish that he would die."

Then you're a better person than I am. I want him gone any way possible because of the enormous damage he has done and still does to the US and the world. This will take years and years to reverse and in some cases (like the climate) it's already irreversible.

"Is this the typical mantra of the extreme far left loonies?"

Extreme far left loonies? I see hyperbole is not your thing...:coffee1:

quote "he is the least popular president since the approval rating system began"

Well thank you for so quickly proving my assertions correct. Your statement is a bald lie, but I can understand how it can be that you believe this. Just a few minutes watching some news networks you will think the world is ending. For the record, Nixon, Bush sr, Carter, Johnson and Truman have all had worse approval ratings. More importantly there has never been such a frenzy to bash supporters of a president before, which absolutely skews surveys and polls.

To educate yourself on presidential approval ratings so you don't make such an error again :-

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_presidential_approval_rating

I find it amusing that you want to spread these numbers around, if you are indeed a supporter of the current president. He has the lowest "highest rating" by far of all the presidents and he has the lowest average approval rating of any president included in the polls. All according to the link you shared.
