Bad Water?

Featured Replies

I just spent the last several days with a fever between 103 and 104 (39.5 - 40 c) with no other symptoms. As it turns out it was the water I got from one of the reverse osmosis machines. As anyone else had a similar experience?

I think what you were meaning is that you think you got bacteria in the water...correct? What kind of machine was it? Is it a public use machine? RO machines will remove salts and other minerals. They will NOT remove bacteria. If it has certain filters for removing bacteria, then I suspect these filters have not been serviced in some time. Some machines that kill bacteria will run the water through a UV light. These lights lose effectiveness over time.

It was a fairly new machine not more that 18 months old, I don’t know about the style or model. Yes to public use as they would want to put it where it could make the most money. I can’t say much more on it than that.
