I believed that separate organizing committees will be appointed for the preparation and planning. No ministries are involved. Why will the election affect the event. The bad news is sly fox with the John Lennon glasses chair the committees. He is masterminding the delay for his boss who obviously will be “blameless”. I hope a more powerful entity will override that attempt.

In case the election is delayed from February, the new date will be issued according to the Constitution, meaning not later than May 9," he said.

I assume this means the date of the election will be announced prior to 9th May and not the election taking place as that would be an impossibility.

Like everyone else, totally unsurprised. I wonder how much input the Government had in the choice of date?

Any other events likely to cause a delay?

What a surprise, and what an extremely lame excuse. Oh well, the way things were going, those elections are completely inconsequential.

The junta isn't going anywhere regardless of when elections are held.

Well, sure....

Tradition. That ain't disappearing soon.

Same as it ever was.

Does anyone here study real Thai contemporary history or able to connect the simple dots?
