There is a Tesco/market at Lamai, Songthaews cost 60 THB per way daytime, the new bus 100 per way, every 2 hrs

You are of cause entirely correct and would add that there is also a Makro so I profusely apologise for any confusion on my part but I want to go to Big C. Are there other options of going to Big C while at the same time not going to Big C? Yes. I could send someone up there and do it via live video (buy this - don't buy that etc) but I would still have to pay for transport and their time. I still stand by my statement that when it is cheaper to rent a jeep for the day.... something is out of kilter.

  • I have lived here 15 years and only used a Samui Taxi twice because the cost is about 10 times that of a Bangkok taxi. Some price boards I have seen quote Maenam to another part of Maenam as 350

  • The plate is re-issued to the license owner.

I know as I lived there for 3 years. If their prices were reasonable I would have used them more often as you know how dangerous it is to ride a bike there.
