Richie1971 Posted February 6, 2019 Posted February 6, 2019 Hello Does anyone know where (or if) they show the EPL live in Ubon? I’m 50kms south of Det Udom but will travel if it’s on in Ubon anywhere cheers

Richie1971 Posted February 6, 2019 Author Posted February 6, 2019 Thanks mate, I’m only visiting and the internet is non existent, typing from another village 7kms away. I just need to know if anywhere shows EPL games this Saturday cheers
esaandaz Posted February 6, 2019 Posted February 6, 2019 Most of the Thai places have big screens but generally no sound as they may have some music. Wrong Way cafe on padaeng road usually has the football on TV. Most of the out of towners check in to the nearby padaeng mansion for the night at 500 baht if you don't fancy driving home.Sent from my BLL-L22 using Thailand Forum - Thaivisa mobile app 1
Richie1971 Posted February 6, 2019 Author Posted February 6, 2019 Thanks mate, that sounds better. I’m actually nearer Kantharak but Ubon will be more interesting cheers
DJ54 Posted February 6, 2019 Posted February 6, 2019 Channel 32 PPTV has Football until like 02:30 A.M. starts around 21:00
SantiSuk Posted February 7, 2019 Posted February 7, 2019 Picking it up from Eesandaz's post. 'Wrong Way Bar/Cafe' in Ubon has 2 screens and will show two different games on request. Usually the two most favoured / highest placed teams will show when 3pm UK time comes around unless there is special pleading, but you may be caught out looking for a lower placed team if Ting (owner) has posted specific games on their facebook page. if you want sound and/or a specific game that is unlikely to be popular book into Outside Inn (an American-Thai guest house/restaurant/bar and a good one at that) on the east side of central Ubon (far east end of Suriyat Rd). They have a couple of their rooms with a True Platinum package on the room TV. Pretty sure they will have the BeIn football channels too, but check by phoning Brent (US part-owner, his Thai wife being the other) on that and availability. Google for their facebook page. Room rate probably about 750 baht for those rooms incl buffet falang-oriented light breakfast. In my amphur town of Kantharalak, 'Black Dog Bar' (see map) has a couple of screens and will usually show sports events on request, but will prioritise requests in favour of usual spenders! If that draws a blank on the night then go to the Kantharalak Entertainment Plaza (see map), which has several Thai bars, some of which show sound-off Prem League. Saeng Villa 400 baht air-con clean comfortable rooms close by - also marked on the map Good luck Kantharalak google earth image of centre marked for hotels ents Jan19.docx
