Requirements for 5 year Teaching License Application

Featured Replies

Hello! What are the requirements for getting a 5 year teaching license? Is it the same with the first 2 year teaching license? I heard that I need to get a certification from my university sealed in an envelope with a stamp and address to my current school. Is it true?

After you get the certification from your university then you will need to get it certified/stamped again at The Consular Of Foreign Affairs near Changwattana immigration.

Police Check

Health Check

Cant answer it with more details sorry.

Lol absolutely nothing like that.

Winner for worst disinformation of the month.

Go to the Khrusapa website, find documents. Enjoy the paperwork.

I took a quick look at the Khrusapa website and the link that used to lead to the appilcation requirements now leads to a list of regional offices in Thai!  However, I saved the application instructions that I used last year.  Unless things have changed in the past year, here are the requirements:

Teaching License Application Form (Form KS. 01)

Copy of educational certificate along with official transcript (BEd,  or MEd, PGCEi, Grad. Diploma, + B.A./B.S.)

Copy of teaching license/ certificate from abroad (If any)

Original official degree confirmation letter for graduates of institution or an original official transcript or original of statement of professional standing (as the case may be)

Copy of documentary evidence of passing professional certification in accordance with the professional standards of the Teachers’ Council of Thailand (If any) (I think this refers to the now-scrapped Tests)

Original of Professional Experience Evaluation Form
- The evaluator group must be between 3 and 5 people. These people must include
an educational institution administrator, a teacher in the institution, or other related
persons (e.g. educational supervisor or specialist in learning management).
These persons will evaluate together as a group.
- This form must be completed and signed by all evaluators; including attached with photocopies of their current professional licenses that are certified as true copies of the original. (this would be recommendations from the senior teachers/administrators at your current school where you must have worked for are least one calendar year)

Copy of the applicant’s passport, particularly the photo page and the latest update current school NON-B Visa (O-marriage Visa's are also accepted)

Copy of all used pages of Thai Work Permit
- The work place stated on applicant’s Work Permit must be the same educational institution stated on Professional Experience Evaluation Form. Period of working experience shall be counted as one consecutive year from the date the work permit issued until the date of application.

Two 1 X 1.25 inch half-length, full face photographs in which the applicant is facing the camera directly; wearing formal clothing without hat and sunglasses; taken against plain, blue or white background and taken within the last six months (Do not wear a t-shirt or tank top, no smile)

There is more, but I got tired of copy/pasting and you get the idea.  Make sure you have good copies of everything and be prepared to show them the originals.

After you get this license, you will eventually have to get a police check and a health check for the work permit. Along with a stamp from the Foreign Affairs Office, certifying them again. Others think you will not do this eventually after you get your license?

I guess I bunched it all up together. Usually my school would do it all for me anyway. Maybe the others are used to the school making them do it all on their own.

Stop beating this horse and mixing the issues of obtaining a temporary teaching waiver with a visa and WP.

You don't need a police check for the work permit either.

Obviously your school did it and obviously you weren't paying attention to what they did.

Please refrain from confusing the noobs.

Stop digging.
