I have a company that will soon be employing a Chinese person and until now all of my foreign employees need to do border runs every 90 days (if they are lucky enough to get a 1 year business visa as opposed to consecutive 90 days visas) but now I have a Chinese employee and that Chinese employee can’t just go to a neighboring country to get the Chinese visa but they are required to go back to China to get that B visa. And they say it can take 3-6 weeks to get that visa in Shanghai. I’m ok with that but definitely hope they won’t have to go back to China every 90 days to get a new visa. I.E.: I don’t want them to work for 12 weeks and then spend 3-6 weeks to get a new visa and then 12 weeks of work, etc. But even if they get that visa, they’ll then need to do 90 day border bounces. Usually that means a 1500-2000 THB 18 hour van journey to Malaysia and back. But Chinese people can’t go to Malaysia without a visa for Malaysia. And they can’t easily go anywhere without a visa to those other countries. So if they need to do a border bounce every 90 days, what options do they have as they are Chinese and limited in their travels?

If a multiple entry Non B can be arranged, they should be able to do the necessary border bounce at Ranong going to Myanmar. I believe it is possible to do this in one day if leaving Samui very early in the morning and returning very late at night. This is cheap, but very tiring.
