Soldiers of the Pha Muang taskforce found one million methamphetamine pills in a pickup truck abandoned in Chiang Rai’s Mae Sai district following a chase on Saturday night.

The troops patrolling the Myanmar border noticed the truck in the village of Sri Pa Daeng (Moo 9) at 11.30pm and became suspicious.

As they approached, the driver sped away, triggering a chase and a call to local administrative officials and police to set up blockades.

The truck was soon found abandoned at the roadside in Sanna (Moo 2) in the same tambon, though the driver had vanished.

Inside the pickup were five sacks together containing a million meth pills.

Abandoned truck licenced to someone I hope?

Somewhere there are half a billion pills ready to be recirculated or used to take down the “non compilers”
