24 hour reporting

Featured Replies

ok guys, thanks for the info on 90 day reporting, all of you are correct.we live in mae rim ( chaing mai ) we are going to laos and will be doing a land border crossing, back to thailand, can we do our passport update (24 hr.) in chaing rai or do we have to come back to chaing mai to do it. means we will be 3 or 4 days overdue.

many thanks rick.

If it takes you 3 or 4 days to get back to Chiang Mai, you will surely stay somewhere on the way, that SHOULD report your presence. That being said, you have a week or so to report a return from outside the country, but it needs to be in Chiang Mai Immigration, as that is where you live.

90 day report is up to a week after the due date.

Re-registering your address is officially 24 hours after returning to Thailand.

They are two seperate things.

I pay the fine. Well, I give it to my agent to deal with, I’m not wasting time with that nonsense.

Registering within 24 hours like you just got out of prison. ???? No thanks.
