snoop1130 Posted March 14, 2019 Posted March 14, 2019 Former Bond girl Eva Green doesn't think 007 should ever be played by a woman BY SAM WARNER ANDREAS RENTZ / STAFF GETTY IMAGES Casino Royale star Eva Green has weighed into the debate on whether James Bondcould be played by a woman – and she's not for it. There has been talk of the spy's sex being flipped in the future, with the likes of Gillian Anderson and Emilia Clarke putting themselves forward. However, Green – who played Bond girl Vesper Lynd in Daniel Craig's first outing as 007 – reckons the spy should remain a man. "I'm for women, but I really think James Bond should remain a man," she told Vanity Fair. "It doesn't make sense for him to be a woman. brokenbone Posted March 14, 2019 Posted March 14, 2019 it would be kinda cool if both bond & bond brad were ladyboys equipped with attributes from both sexes 2 1

Popular Post OneMoreFarang Posted March 14, 2019 Popular Post Posted March 14, 2019 I suggest someone should invent a female spy who pretends to be a hot gogo-girl. She get's what she wants because the guys are lining up to rescue her from the bar life. I am sure that would be a successful movie. And all feminists should be delighted to have a female hero. ???? 3 1
Emdog Posted March 15, 2019 Posted March 15, 2019 How about hiring a man and a woman to play Bond in the same movie? No explanation regarding which one is supposed to be the "real" Bond. Think of the buzz on social media! I recall Bunuel film "That Obscure Object of Desire" from 70's where two women played the lead (in same time frame, not flashback or forward)

You may enjoy the movie Atomic Blonde. If you would like to see all there is to see (excluding via use of a speculum) of Eva Green check out the movie The Dreamers. You're welcome. I did think it was a good touch to have Judi Dench as M, and with a male secretary to boot. My guess is they considered a male Moneypenny. In the most recent remake of "Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy" they took a tough guy character (on the Brit side) and turned him into a bisexual who wept when his boyfriend left him, and had him played by Cumberbatch. Just one disastrous part of an overall disaster. If you want to see it stick with the Alec Guinness version, good stuff. 1
Penicillin Posted March 15, 2019 Posted March 15, 2019 There was only ONE Bond, and we all know who that was. 2

oldies1 Posted March 15, 2019 Posted March 15, 2019 Lst year there were rumors that there was a possibility of a black guy (idris Elba) playing Bond. Ok then, the next movie version of "Uncle Tom's Cabin" should have a caucasian guy in the lead. That wouldn't work either.

Popular Post VocalNeal Posted March 15, 2019 Popular Post Posted March 15, 2019 Why doesn't someone write a spy thriller book with a woman as the hero and see how it works out without trying to re write something already in existence? 4

Maybe with a plus size feminist in the lead role. I wonder how many people would want to watch such a movie...

lannarebirth Posted March 15, 2019 Posted March 15, 2019 Not sure why they need a female Bond. Start with an Emma Peele movie and see how it goes.

No, it would not cover "normal" people who are probably still 90% majority.
luckyluke Posted March 18, 2019 Posted March 18, 2019 I am open for the idea, and let Quentin Tarantino directed it. 1

usviphotography Posted March 18, 2019 Posted March 18, 2019 There were other 00's besides 007. If they really want to do a female spy movie within the Bond universe, just make her a different agent. But given that a female spy's most valuable weapon is what is between her legs, I suspect Ava Green is correct and that they might as well not bother trying to make such a film in the #MeToo era as any realistic film would sure to be condemned by all sides. Plus, there already have been female agents (albeit Russian ones) who have gotten serious screen in Bond films. Barbara Bach was virtually a co-lead in The Spy that Loved Me.
