I dont have any news but sometime in the night around 2am there was a big accident near the seashell museum

All i know is one Farang on a big bike and 3 Thai's one of them pregnant so you could say 5 dead,

My cleaner who lives down there went for a walk at 5-30 am told me about it,

The farang had been in Laguna with his G/F also one of the dead

Rumours can be true and can not be true.

But spreading them without knowing the truth is IMO not good.

Not a rumour

Sadly not a rumour. Confirmed by many locals and farang who were nearby and rushed to help. I drove past moments after it happened, and it was a savage accident. 4 confirmed dead on the scene (including unborn child), and the female passenger on big bike is said to have passed away soon after on the way to or in the hospital (but this not confirmed).

Horrific accident, and based on the destruction the big bike was traveling at very high speed. Happens nightly on this stretch of road, mainly patrons coming out of the large bar complex nearby.

Not without some irony, but it increasingly appears that individuals posting on Facebook is the most consistent and up to date news source.   I read about this accident (with graphic photos) this morning, and still it hasn't appeared in the local on-line news.

I am closing this thread as it is now in Phuket News Forum
