BKK Wedding venues

Featured Replies

Hi peeps

Looking for a location for ceremony and reception in BKK (same location or not). Anyone experienced a good venue whether attending or your own and can recommend? Looking for 100 - 150 capacity only.

Thanks

The Athenee Hotel in Wireless Rd. It is not cheap but worth every Baht of the costs. Highly recommendable.

We had our reception, for about 150-200, in the old wing of the Oriental which was superb, but that was 35 years ago.

Over the last 12 months we have been to 3 wedding receptions, all Thai-Thai, for about 1000 guests and all at the Dusit Thani which is now closed.  While they were very well organised they were not intimate.

So, I am sorry but I have no useful suggestions.

Most Hotels in Bangkok have Large Ballrooms and also smaller rooms for more intimate gatherings.

I've been to scores of Weddings in Bangkok at lots of different hotels - mostly huge lavish affairs, in those same hotels I've also been to smaller Weddings.

Friends have got married at Sukhothai (about 150ppl I think), Marriot (now Anantara Riverside - about 150ppl).

Once of the most pleasant Wedding Venues I've been to is the Authors Lounge at the Oriental.
