There is an HBO documentary called A Certain Kind of Death about people who died alone.  Most of their bodies were found near the toilet.

Over 6,000 people die per hour on this planet. Why on earth the natural demise of one senior citizen, no matter what his nationality or status should warrant a report in national media is beyond my comprehension. 

Well said mate, poor man has died and the media have to go into details of how/ where he was found sick.

It's a fairly common way to die for those that suffer from diabetes. 

Yes a buddy systems would be a great idea for those that have medical and lonely conditions
