Practical test for Motorcycle Drivers License?

Featured Replies

I'm thinking of getting a motorcycle license, and as I don't have one from my home country I was told I have to do the practical test.

Things like, drive slow, zig-zag around cones etc.

Does anyone know of a facility or organization providing a place where you can practice for the practical test?

Thanks.

In Bangkok I believe Honda,Kawasaki,Yamaha and Suzuki  have driver training courses

try going to a dealer and asking there.

The actual practical test for a bike licence is very easy to pass.

Don't know where your at but their are smart drive franchises around, this on is in Udon Thani

Offer training on a closed course and also do the driving exams, government approved

I did a two day course and got my license, easy

The M/C driving test is so easy even an idiot can do it.

First off you all assemble on your bike (Around 20 when my wife took it) You set off in line go about 15 feet turn left around the same again turning left, with another turn left go through a few bollards (So wide you could get a bus through them) till you reach the start. All done in a square total distance covered is about 25 MT.

The testing Lady was riding at the front of the que so she couldn't see what they were doing anyway. Everyone passed. N/B you can put your feet down if you want. You may not pass if you fall off. But you would be able to take again a few min: later.

You will have to sit a test on a Comp: after that. That's all in Thai so that's when you could have problems, But there's normally some Thai to help.

The hardest part

Driving on an elevated strip of concrete without slipping, stopping, put feet down.

15 m long, 30 cm wide.

This test is not worth a headache. Did it in 2015.

My daughter went to the test on her own Motorbike to get some experience.

...and came off the elevated strip, but because she used the indicators when turning and put her feet down at the stop sign she passed.

Funny, after returning 2 years later to Germany she only needed the theoretical and practical test without prior lessons to get the European License.

She still pays monthly the money I borrowed her for the tickets she made in the first 4 month in Germany.

Fails:

Driving on the wrong side of the road, coercion, over speed, wrong parking and not using a helmet.. LOL

Seems it where you go, my wife didn't have to do that. Just ride in a left turn square. Didn't have to use indicators either. Just had to make sure she didn't fall off and finished the cause. Total less than 5 minutes. Only took that long as she had a lady driving very slowly in front of her.

Farangs get the test in English.

OP, the hardest/most dangerous part will start when you get your DL, and head out on the roads.
