I use to own  Beagle........ well arriving at Hobart International airport there early in the 2000 thinking i was on the set of Casablanca International airport when retrieving my bag a lovely cute Beagle and handlers came on by the fella got on top of my bag and wasnt going anywhere.....turns out your not allowed to bring bananas with you from Melbourne....i had a few with me....had to eat a couple and turf the rest out....

Rioli was  not caught at the main terminal. He was flying from the small aircraft terminal to the Tiwi Islands. The police patrol this area all the time. He was a very stupid individual..

I thought getting Daniel Wells was a good move.

Although he didn't play as much as they would of liked,he pretty much showed the rest of the players how to move the ball with precision and class.

Will be interesting to see if they are still a destination club over the next 3 years,probably not with Tigers,Dees,Cats and Eagles higher up the pecking order.   

Going to have a good look at the magoo's tonight to get a gauge on GCS playing depth against the Lions.

The trouble was FJ, he was given at 3 year deal as an injury prone 32 year old on a reported $500 000 per year.

Played 15 games in 3 years.

The last year i agree if not contributing at training  but sometimes a player like that can redirect the ship.

That's why i think the Roos should push for Willie  Rioli if the Eagles don't want him next year to show what a bit of class can add to its forward structure and instill confidence in the young playing group.

I presume he and Brady Rawlings dealt in the past.????

Friday funnies.......on friday.....and there was some talk about normalising when the teams are announced again, this rubbish dribbling the line ups out the day of the game is just that...heard Angus Brayshaw on tuesday evening  mention this very subject and couldn't understand why it is now so when they knew monday night the ins and outs of the Demons team for Sunday, he even knew the Blues omissions....and that prodcast was recorded tuesday sometime before lunch....and Yes the Weed is in this week......"Egg"Jackson sat on his finger or something and is out....

 

Saints versa the Cats.......this is going to be one of them very bad porn movies.....where all the women have plastic pumped up boobs....i hate that.....like 5 sizes bigger than there body would allow in normal people.....i was originally thinking that the Saints are on the rebound and would cause an upset here then i realised when the Demons have an up year the Saints have a down year....so expect a thumping but its a friday night dew on the grass a bit like lube you know so Saints are likely to hang on in there for a while longer....

 

Swans on the SCG over the Pies.....this game reminds me off Debbie does Dallas....that was a classic prom movie men....when they put a weak story lines to a full length porn movie.....the football team went through the cheer leaders and so  it WILL come to pass that the Pies WILL be hammered hard by the Swans...no escaping this.....no not at all......

 

Hawks and it looks like in Tassie with North....How low can you go? i actually think North can win here.....obviously my coffee wasnt as strong as it normally is this morning....Well Hawks can look like Robin from Batman sometimes and history shows low placed teams often have enough weeties in there brekkie to power over another cripple.....so far to afraid to pick North id play safe and stay with Clarko and his men for this week.....

 

Suns to go down to the Lions.....game of the sunshine clubs....football was devised in Melbourne because of our long dark drawn out winters....and the finals were played in September which is the start of spring here...and there use to be a lot of sunshine that month....use to be....so with climate change the AFL brethren decided to allow 2 clubs from the far north in so it felt like september when we would venture forth and go play up there as spring disappeared and the problem of a lack off wont be seen again....

 

Tigers at home to the Gaints...the mini resurgence shall be put on hold this weekend....Tigers WILL be smarting from there thumping, nothing WILL get in there way as they storm the beaches like they did in Private Ryan...its on Netflix men.....not sure its worth seeing again....expecting a surgical Tiger outfit this week just before there second half of the season fade.....

 

Port vs the Dogs.....this is the dart board game....the inns of the Dogs are crucial here, without knowing you have to go for Port.....i do favour the Dogs though.....and may change selections once we know....

 

Essendon should stumble after a few good weeks.....and Freo should get up after a lack lustre few weeks....its the maths, its the jumble theory devised by Cheek and Chong, nothing makes sense when you smoke dope.....ps there isnt a strong enough deodorant to rid you of the stink of weed...walking into my nephews  place i was getting high and congested lungs.....i felt i had smoked a pack of smokes working there the other day....and i dont smoke by the way...

 

Demons vs the Blues.....well this could be a crackler if all the Blues turn up.....as we know there well placed on all lines with high draft picks, a fool would take this game lightly, i have seen two weeks where the Demons haven't been able to move the ball around freely so the first loss of the season is just moments away, im pretty sure Teague noticed how Swans nullified the centre clearances which stoped the inside 50 count......im staying true as the Defence is Number 1 in the League and MacDonald is on a roll and with Bennie Brown who ive had the pleasure to watch seen his worth has octopus arms.....longer than any human alive like he dont even have to get off the ground half the time, the Weed is back which means Gawn WILL ruck all day had a bit of a downer last week as the young Swan took it up to him WILL want to stamp his authority early....expect Big Tom to rove out towards the centre much more with the Stay at home Weed and Brown causing the damage....the Weed has been kicking a mountain of goals in the two's so im expecting an instant impact from him....

 

Eagles play the Crows at the Optus fortress.....Willie pleaded guilty for the killing off a dirty thief......"I shot the Sherrif" but he swears it was in self defence ........Crows back to being whipping boys, no one WILL tune in as we are bored.....

You only had to look at Ron Barassi who makes all the home games by the way he would have been thinking like me.....a dam ugly game......

 

Anyway watching that dribble yesterday i can say we are now where near peeking yet, so we could actually improve.....and we would want to...the business end of the season starts in 4 week.....with about 6 other clubs ready to step up....

Not that i think the Dees will run out of steam.

It will be whether they can carry 64 years? on their back in one game against some good opposition this year.

700 fines for striking and rough conduct he gets a week for medium impact.

Mid season draft....really the AFL dont have a clue how to go about this.....there is a need for clubs to be able to delist players midseason, as well as offer short contracts so players are coming out mid season for it to work..........personally i dont like it much......someone like the Weed who is in his last year should be able to nominate and force the clubs hand or be able to accept a new deal else where from for next year come the half way mark of the season....works just fine in soccer so just copy it....or they can go the NFL way which im not to sure of how it works but they fire players at least in the early parts of the season bringing in new ones......which i dont like much as well....
