Beyond the call of duty - "Peekaboo" cop covered in powder gets a certificate!

 

 CUTE COP COPS A CERTIFICATE

 

The chief of police in Lopburi has awarded a popular policeman with a citation for going beyond the call of duty at this year's Songkran celebration in the central Thai province. 

 

Pol Sub-Lt Thatsakorn Thatsathornnin - had some moments in the social media limelight when he was pictured covered in powder while carrying out his duties in a squad car. 

 

He is better known by the public in Lopburi as "Ja - Ae" that translates as "peekaboo" - something one might say to young children. 

 

Chief Pol Maj-Gen Sunthorn Torote clearly thought that his underling had represented the force with admirable fortitude and perseverance! 

 

He got a certificate to mark his efforts - and a sum of money to go with it. 

 

The exact amount was unspecified in the Sanook story.
